"Braintree is a band that has mastered the art of dramatic tension.  Their riveting guitar rock is hooky and rises, dips, and falls like a good screenplay," says Gwen Ihnat of the Illinois Entertainer.  She goes on to say, "Braintree's music is right on target," and states that Braintree's music is "Stellar."

Showcase Magazine says, "Braintree's song writing, as well as its ability to create plenty of great hooks, is outstanding." Braintree could easily find its way to the top of the charts."

Braintree has frequently played many of the Chicago clubs (i.e. The Double Door, The Elbo Room, The Wise Fools Pub, The Beat Kitchen, The Bottom Lounge, Morseland, Heartland, and many others) for more than three years now, and has continuously been well received.  Braintree is currently receiving a lot of radio airplay, and has been featured on Q101, The Zone and KISS FM here in Chicago, as well as several other commercial stations around the country.  For a complete list of radio stations Braintree is being played on, visit our On The Radio page.

In the summer of 1999, Braintree was able to raise money for The Children's Place Association, which helps children dealing with HIV/AIDS, with its Rock Out HIV concert and accompanying CD, which sold 1,000 copies.  To promote the concert, Braintree was able to play live on the morning show on KISS FM in Chicago.  In addition, the KISS FM van and some of their radio personalities were in attendance for the concert itself.

Braintree was also very happy to be one of 12 bands, chosen from all over the world, to have a track on the Marillion tribute CD, "Hope For the Future," put out by Out of This World Records.  The legal advisor for the record wrote in a review of the CD, "Far and away, the highlight of the CD is Braintree's 'Going Under.'  Buy this CD for this recording alone.  Without mincing words, it is far better than the original."

Peter Griffin of Braintree recorded the full length CD "fabricate" at Solid Sound Studios, which has now sold over 5,000 copies independently.  John Towner engineered while Griffin performed all the instruments and vocals himself.  Neal James, a producer from Nashville TN, says of the new album, "The songs are good and the vocal talent is excellent.  With the right help, this group could stand a better than average chance of success within the entertainment industry."

Braintree's music is very powerful and quite marketable.  Braintree strives to create music that is filled with hooks and connects with the listener.

Braintree live is:  Peter Griffin, Joe Griffin, Jeremy Wanat and Jimmy Jensen
